Michael has been an active part of the live music scene in Calgary since 2009.  He has played in local bands JAM, Cumberland, The Rough Cut & Groove Academy playing guitar, bass and singing both lead and supporting vocals.  Currently, Michael has been playing more solo shows showcasing his unique vocals and cover-song renditions.

Although music was not a life-long activity, he actually started playing live shows at the ripe age of six, where his mother would bring him out to local open mic shows.  He was chosen to perform on a local televised talent show hosted by none other than Alan Thicke.  After sitting on his lap, Alan said he'd become the next Elvis Presley.  Although a far cry from super stardom, Michael still enjoys playing for and connecting with his audience - regardless of size.

In about 2003, Michael started singing again - after over 11 years of not singing or playing music at all - doing local karaoke and singing competitions.  He won many local events in the Southern Alberta region including the Calgary Stampede annual singing competition in 2004, Cochrane Starburst Singing Contest and being a finalist in the 7th Annual Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame Competition National Finals.  Acoustic live music soon became his new love after being reintroduced to open mics and playing with local talent such as Jay Burns, Sherri Dawn Young, Greg Cockerill, Rebecca (Cobra) Ramone, Kaley and Jory Kinjo, Sam Smith and a handful of other amazing musicians.

Currently Michael is playing live solo shows throughout Calgary and surrounding area.  Please check the calendar of events for upcoming shows.
